Javea (Xabia) sits between the Montgo mountain and the sea in the Marina Alta, spread across an inland old town, a working port and the Arenal beach. Its coast is a run of cliffs, headlands and clear-water coves reaching out to the Cap de la Nau, the easternmost point of the Costa Blanca. It is a quieter, low-built alternative to the big resorts.
