The Isla de Benidorm is the distinctive triangular island that sits just off the resort's beaches, and a short boat trip turns it into one of the easiest island outings on the Costa Blanca. Boats run roughly every hour from Benidorm, and many tickets include a glass-bottomed or small-submarine view of the marine life on the way across.
On the island a walking path climbs to the summit, with fine views back over the bay, while the surrounding waters form a protected marine reserve that is popular for snorkelling and diving. A small café and a little rocky beach make it easy to spend a relaxed half-day there.
Good shoes help on the climb, and it is worth bringing water, as the island is small and exposed. With calm seas, some visitors even reach it by kayak or paddleboard, occasionally spotting dolphins along the way.
