Begur
TownBegur is an upmarket hilltop town behind some of the Costa Brava’s prettiest coves, including Sa Tuna, Aiguablava and Fornells.
Why visit Begur
Begur sits on a hill a little back from the coast, crowned by the ruins of an old castle with wide views over the Costa Brava. Below it, a string of small, beautiful coves — Sa Tuna, Aiguablava and Fornells among them — are tucked into the rocky shoreline, several reached by steep lanes down from the town. Begur itself is an upmarket, well-kept town of stone houses and good restaurants, making it a refined base for exploring the surrounding beaches.
