Why visit Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar is one of the most photographed spots on the southern Costa Brava. Above its curved main beach rises the Vila Vella, a walled medieval old town that climbs straight from the sea, its stone towers and ramparts forming the town’s unmistakable silhouette. Inside the walls, narrow cobbled lanes wind up to viewpoints over the bay. With clear water, a sheltered beach and an easy mix of history and coast, it is a classic Costa Brava base.
