Aquopolis Torrevieja
Theme parkAquopolis Torrevieja is a summer water park on the Avenida Delfina Viudes in Torrevieja (Alicante), about 1.5 km north of the town centre. The operator describes it as a family water park open from June to August, with slides, attractions and both cold and warm pools; the regional tourist board counts 15 attractions, from the Speed chute with a 20 m drop to a kids’ pool and mini park. A customers’ car park sits next to the entrance and town bus stops are about 300 m away. It suits families with children of mixed ages; skip it outside the summer months, when it is closed, or if you want a large resort-scale park.

Access and parking
By car: the park is on the Avenida Delfina Viudes, on the inland side of Torrevieja near the Habaneras shopping centre and a Carrefour hypermarket. OpenStreetMap shows a surface car park named Parking Aquopolis about 150 m north of the park’s centre, marked for customers. We could not confirm whether it charges.
Other parking nearby: OpenStreetMap shows several more car parks within 300–550 m, around the Carrefour and the Habaneras centre, some marked free; they belong to the shops, so check the signs before leaving a car there all day.
By bus: OpenStreetMap places two stops called Carrefour about 300 m west of the park, and one called Centro Comercial Habaneras about 400 m south-west. We could not confirm which urban bus lines serve them in summer 2026.
On foot: the town centre is about 1.5 km away in a straight line, and the Marina Internacional about 2 km.
What to expect
A compact, family-sized water park in a residential and shopping area, not a beach. The operator’s own summary is short: a family water park with slides, attractions, cold and hot pools “and much more” (Aquopolis). The regional tourist board describes it in more detail (Comunitat Valenciana, travel proposal):
- Thrill rides: Speed, a chute with a 20 m free fall; Boomerang, which gives the feeling of being on the edge of a drop; Kamikaze, a fast slide that takes seconds; and Zigzag.
- Gentler rides: Hydro Racer, Rapids, Polinesia, Cascada and a zipline (Tirolina), plus a wave pool.
- For small children: Mini Park, Charmed Lake and Mini ZigZag, and a kids’ pool.
- For adults taking a break: gardens to sit in and, according to the tourist board’s listing, massage rooms.
The tourist board also mentions Speedy Passes, which let you get floats faster and cut queuing time, and a photo point under the waterfall. Ride names and the pass system can change between seasons; the park’s own Torrevieja pages were not reachable when we checked, so confirm what runs this year before you go.
Food, loungers and lockers
The tourist board lists a self-service restaurant, a burger and pizza outlet, an ice cream stand, a café, a kiosk bar and a bar next to the zipline. Loungers and Bali beds can be hired, and there are lockers, a cloakroom and a shop for souvenirs and forgotten items. We could not confirm the park’s rules on bringing your own food.
Prices and opening
The operator’s group site says the Torrevieja park opens from June to August. Daily hours, ticket prices and the exact 2027 dates are published on the park’s own ticket site (torrevieja.aquopolis.es), which we could not open when we checked in November 2026, so we do not quote them. The group site and the tourist board both point to buying tickets online; check there for current prices and any online discount.
In November the park is closed for the winter.
Accessibility and safety
We could not confirm wheelchair access, adapted changing rooms or height limits for the individual slides; thrill rides like Speed and Kamikaze may have minimum heights, so ask at the ticket office before queuing with children. Bring sun cream and hats, and use the shade of the gardens. Follow staff instructions on every ride.
Best time to visit
The park only opens in June, July and August. Early June and late August are the months to try for shorter queues, but we have no attendance figures to back that up. Arrive at opening time to get a lounger and use the first hour for the big slides; the tourist board’s Speedy Passes are the other way to cut waiting.
