Faro del Albir (l’Albir Lighthouse)

Why visit Faro del Albir
A well-surfaced path of around two and a half kilometres each way climbs gently to the lighthouse through pine and Mediterranean scrub. The reward is the scenery along the way: cliffs dropping to a clear blue bay, viewpoints over old ochre mines and sea caves, and wide views back over Altea and the coast. The route suits most ages and even pushchairs, though there is little shade and no facilities once you set off.
