Costa de Almería Map
Almería has the driest climate in Europe and the emptiest coastline in Spain. The Cabo de Gata is a volcanic natural park where whole beaches have nothing built behind them at all, which is rare enough on this sea to be the main reason to come. Inland lies the Tabernas desert. The map shows both the protected stretch and the developed one, and the contrast is the point.
